Child-friendly hotel

Finding the ideal holiday location for our little family can be a real challenge. As a mother of three, a nine year old boy and two six year old girl twins, we would certainly need to look after a child-friendly hotel. As I didn’t plan to bring neither my mother nor my mother in law along – I needed a real, real holiday – I was looking for a hotel which would offer facilities for kids and/or nanny services if we would like to go out and have a quiet dinner as a couple. My husband’s wish was to go hiking in Switzerland this year and I was happy to fulfil his wish as long as I could also find some room to cover my needs. I was desperate for some rest, some wellness and treatments. At least for those three weeks I would want to feel a little bit like a princess, being pampered, being served. Feeling like a woman rather than just like a “mum”. So on my search the focus was on finding a real luxury vacation which would promise make those dreams come true. After an extensive search I found a very luxurious wellness hotel on www.gstaad.ch .

We really loved the beautiful mountainside, the fresh air, the friendly people, the excellent service… There was some mini-club in the hotel which provided a number of nice activities for the kids and in the evening, whenever we felt the need the hotel concierge was happy to organize a nanny for us to take care of them. The holiday, all in, was a big success. My husband loved the hiking and the calm of the mountains, I really enjoyed the treatments and the Spa and after three weeks we were very relaxed and felt as good as new. And – guess what – next year I will be a mother of four…:-)

Boot kaufen, aber bitte mit Sonderausstattung!

Ich bin seit über zwölf Jahren passionierter Segler und Wassersportler (Tauchen, Surfen) und überlege mir derzeit, ein eigenes Boot anzuschaffen. Allerdings bin ich mir noch nicht im Klaren darüber, ob es ein neues, ungebrauchtes Boot sein soll oder ein Occasion-Modell. Klar, eine neue Yacht könnte ich von Grund auf selbst gestalten. Ich könnte die Motorisierung, die Innenausstattung und das Design exakt meinen Wünschen und Bedürfnissen anpassen. Doch ist das wirklich nötig? Brauche ich Schnick-Schnack und exklusive Lederpolster in Caramel-beige mit Kontrastnähten? Leider muss ich zugeben, dass ich etwas anfällig für Spielereien, wie die eben genannten, bin. Genau dieselben Fragen stellten sich mir nämlich, als ich vor knapp einem Jahr ein neues Auto kaufte. Auch da hätte es preiswerte Gebrauchtmodelle gegeben, die allesamt noch gut erhalten und gepflegt waren. Aber: Sie waren eben nicht „customized“, nicht auf mich zugeschnitten. Und das stört mich. Wenn man also ein Boot kauft spielen wir natürlich noch einmal in einer anderen, höheren Kategorie. Da muss auch ich mir zweimal überlegen, ob dieses oder jenes Detail tatsächlich wichtig ist.

Habt ihr Erfahrung mit dem Kauf von Occasions-Booten? Gibt es einen Anbieter, der für gute Qualität und schöne Designs (auch bei den Occasionen) steht? Ich habe natürlich bereits selbst etwas im Netz gestöbert und bin auf pro-nautik.ch gestossen. Auf dieser Website stehen einige gut erhaltene und sehr schön gepflegte Top-Occasionen zum Verkauf. Am meisten haben mich dort die Schiffe von Bavaria und Jeanneau interessiert. Allerdings kann man gegen den Kauf einer solchen Luxus-Occasion wieder anführen, dass es in diesem Falle keinen grossen Unterschied mehr zum Neukauf macht: Für den Preis einer Marken-Luxus-Occasion erhält man ein solides, nicht ganz so chices Neumodell eines anderen Herstellers. Ich wäre froh und dankbar, wenn ihr mir weiterhelfen könntet…soll ich meinem Design-empfinden folgen und meine Traumyacht individuell zusammenstellen, dafür aber tief in die Tasche greifen? Oder soll ich lieber bescheiden bleiben und auf ein preisattraktives Occasions-Angebot eines guten Anbieters eingehen? Und was denkt ihr, ist in etwa ein durchschnittlicher Occasionspreis für eine vier Jahre alte Bavaria?
